The Dash-man

I've had Dash for about a week now, and he is a very good boy. I know most hound people describe their dogs this way, but he really is. Great temperament, very patient and laid back. Affectionate, but not overly so, and a handsome man to boot. He follows me around a good bit. He is a big boy, we are working on getting his weight down a few pounds. Have had some adjustment issues, but I would too if I were him! He gets along very well with Lady, my senior hound - no dominance issues or anything, they do just fine. I think she likes his company. He walks well on lead, does not pull or try to run. He is somewhat skittish, but that has improved with time and getting used to certain sounds. I try to let him "roam free" as much as possible, but crate or gate him when I am away from the house. He's a good eater, but a tad picky with the biscuits! Loves to chew, but only the things he is supposed to.

He would do well in a home with a good bit of room, and would love what attention you can give him. He is really - a very good boy.
